God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit
GOD - There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Acts 7:24-28; Matthew 28:19)
JESUS - We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (1 Corinthians 15:3-7; Titus 2:13; Luke 1:34-35; John 8:40; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 4:15-16, 9:27-28)
THE HOLY SPIRIT - The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 16:7-14; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; John 3:5)
The Bible
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
Salvation & Eternal Security
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for the justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as are regenerated by the Spirit and receive Jesus Christ by faith thus become the children of God. (1 Peter 1:17-19; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12, 3:14, 10:28-29; Romans 8:1)
All true believers, once saved, shall be kept saved forever thanks to salvation by grace, Jesus’ unending advocacy, God’s faithfulness, and the Holy Spirit’s presence in our hearts. (John 5:24, 10:28, 14:16-17, 17:11; Romans 8:1, 29, 38-39; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1-2, 5:13; Jude 24)
God's Plan For The Future
The personal, premillennial, and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is our “blessed hope” and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (John 14:3; Matthew 24:42-44; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16)
There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting, conscious punishment. (1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 6-7)
The Church
The true church is composed of all such persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, exercised saving faith in Jesus Christ, and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. It is the primary vehicle through which God works in this present age. (Ephesians 4:11-16; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-42)
The Ordinances
Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life; the Lord’s Supper is a memorial service, setting forth in a sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. All true believers and only believers should share in it. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41, 8:38-39; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34)
The Human Race
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Psalm 51:5; John 3:1; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Titus 3:5)
