The Basics

Hometown: Huntington, California

Family: My wife, Jennifer, and I have 5 kids; Ally, Caleb, Zach, Rylee, and Bradley.

Your roles and responsibilities at Trinity: Officially I am the Lead Pastor, but my greatest privilege is to preach the Word of God to the people of God here at Trinity.

How you ended up at Trinity: God orchestrated a relationship between Trinity and me for a couple years now. It is amazing to see what God has done that I couldn’t have imagined. I am excited to see what God has for our future together.

Hobbies: Reading, golf, shooting skeet…and I’ve been known to play a video game every now and again.

Favorites

Favorite Books: the Bible for sure, The Gospel According to Jesus by John MacArthur, Spectacular Sins by John Piper.

Favorite Movies: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Count of Monte Cristo (the Jim Caviezel version), the Goonies.

Favorite Bands/Music: Shane and Shane, The Band CAMINO, Josh Garrels, I listen to a lot of podcasts too.

Favorite Place to Visit: Israel. I can’t wait to go back.

Favorite Coffee Order: Skinny Vanilla Latte, especially when I’m trying to be good. If I want to indulge a little, then a hazelnut mocha. Does adffogato count as coffee?

A Few Other Favorite Things: My wife, sushi, and books. Main St. has a book store, coffee shop, and sushi restaurant…what more could a guy ask for?

Behind The Scenes

Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is growing up I rode horses, english show jumpers (I’m a just way too big for that now, that would be mean to the horses!)

Wildest Dream: If, like Solomon, God came to me and said I could have anything I wanted I would ask for 2 things (in the following order). First would be that my children would walk closely with God their whole lives. Second would be that Trinity would be a place characterized by loving/peaceful relationships where the Word of God is preached faithfully and people of Trinity regularly share the gospel with those who don’t know Jesus.

What gets you fired up? I get excited when God’s people begin to understand how much greater God is than we could ever imagine or discover. We get to spend eternity with God, but eternity will never be enough time to completely understand an infinitely glorious God!

What gets you down? Disunity and division in the church. It’s really hard on a church’s witness and isn’t so fun for Christians either.
