Jennifer Mann

Kid’s ministry director

The Basics

Where did you grow up? I grew up in rural Washington State just outside of a tiny town called Hunters Wa, right along the Columbia River.  My family has property for cattle there and built a ministry to help teens consider the call to evangelize and consider going into missions.  We built a lodge and challenge course for the ministry.  It was a great way to grow up and definitely shapes how I do ministry today.

Tell us about your family: I am happily married to the lead pastor for a quarter of a century.  Together we have 5 children and 1 daughter in law.  No grandkids yet but I can’t wait!!

When did you start working at Trinity? I began working at Trinity in April of 2021.

Personal Life & Interests

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? Hiking with Logan, my kids, and our dogs.

What are some of your favorite bands? Michael Bublé, Coldplay, Shane and Shane, Adele, and Lauren Daigle.

What are a few of your favorite books? None Like Him, In His Image, Rhythms of Renewal, and Dangerous Calling.

Coffee or tea - and what’s your go-to order? Americano with cream.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I have climbed to the top of Half Dome including the cables and done a 5 day trek to Macchu Pichu.  I love to be walking through nature and the feeling of doing a good, hard, glorious thing with people I love.

Faith & Ministry

What lead to you to pursue ministry? I grew up in a faithful christian household and can’t remember a time Jesus, the church, and ministry weren’t a part of the rhythms of my life.  I am so thankful to the Lord for that privilege.  I believe all of us are called to serve the day we trust in Jesus.  If you love and follow Jesus you help others love and follow Jesus and serve him with your gifts.  I have only ever been paid to do ministry since taking my current position.

What part of ministry excites you the most? My favorite thing in ministry is telling kids about what Jesus has done for them and see them take steps to truly trust him.  It is the beginning of every great story and I get to make disciples of people at the beginning.  Also kids ministry is the best because the love so freely.  Hugs are the best.

What’s one item in your office you can’t live without? Pictures of all the people and adventures I have loved.

What’s one prayer you have for Trinity? My prayer from Psalm 78.  I pray that we would tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord.  And that our children would set their hope in our great God.
