Pastor of Student Ministries
Craig Piefer
I’m the one typing this stuff out and it feels weird to write in the third person; so here it comes in first person:
I am one of the rare lucky pastors who get to work in the church they grew up in, live in their home town and marry their school-age friend. And I’m loving it. Walla Walla is a lot different than it was when I was growing up; even different since Diana and I moved away eight years ago. Things at Trinity are different too. I was one of about six kids in the youth group, but even then I learned the habits I needed to maintain my spiritual walk. Diana and I are committed to this church and to this valley. We want to see life change and life long commitment to growth in students, staff, friends, our kids, and in our own personal walks.

Trinity Youth Staff
Mentors, Teachers and Friends
Trinity Youth Staff is a group of normal people: moms, dads, teachers, Pepsi® drivers, photographers, nurses, students... But they have one thing in common: they love God and love students. They spend a lot of time putting together events, praying for students, and preparing for Sunday mornings and small groups.
The youth staff are committed to the spiritual growth of students at Trinity and to spiritual growth in their own lives. They are part of the larger group of church leaders called Excel. Excel meets once a month for ministry training and a spiritual “gut check.”
Making sure we have the right people working with the youth at Trinity is important to us. Before someone comes on as part of the staff, we run a nation-wide background check and get to know them over a six month period. The work that is done with the students at Trinity is too important to leave in the hands of mediocre people: That is why we give these ministries our best.
